You asked for it! AirCurve has evolved!

You asked for it! AirCurve has evolved!

On September 17th, 2008 we announced AirCurve. Through the magic of a coiled waveguide, we made it possible to amplify your iPhone up to 10 decibels louder, acoustically!

We received lots of great feedback and even won Time Magazine’s Green Design 100 award.

Time passed and a new iPhone was introduced, so we created an adapter so that happy AirCurve owners could continue to crank their music and blast their alarms.

Everyone was happily enjoying their favorite powerless speaker dock, when suddenly a new iPhone was released – iPhone 4.  AirCurve lovers everywhere gasped when they realized that the speaker had been moved to the opposite side on the new device. AirCurve was no longer compatible.

Our customer service and media inquiry phones rang off the hook, Tweets on Twitter came rapidly. Everybody was dying to know how they could use their AirCurve with the new iPhone. All we could suggest was a hack that we knew wouldn’t satisfy the masses, so our product development team put their heads together and we waited anxiously…

Soon after, the door slammed open and screams of eureka! filled the air. AirCurve Play was born!

Thanks! It’s really impressive. I think you’re going to love it.

Now, what about an AirCurve for iPod Touch? When will we see that?

    • Dave Delaney

I’m not sure of plans for iPod touch compatible AirCurve Play, but I’ll be
sure to let you know if/when I do.

Disappointed! Now I have to completeley remove my case to use it. Original design was much better!! Also, it looks bulky.

What about iPhone 5? is there a hack on current designs or are you bringing out a dedicated Aircurve for the 5?
