Win 1 of 10 exclusive Threadless CES cases!

Win 1 of 10 exclusive Threadless CES cases!

Innovation Revolution Threadless Griffin iPhone caseLeading up to CES our friends at Threadless held a Threadless Loves Innovation design contest.

CES’ Deborah Kassoff wrote:

“We were presented with designs from five finalists and each was incredibly creative and compelling and told a different story conveying the artist’s passion for innovation. But the winner we chose “Innovation Revolution” captured the full breadth of what the judging panel agreed is the meaning of innovation, through an amazingly unique work of art.”

The talented designer and winner of the contest was David Fleck, a 20.44 year old boy from Edinburgh, Scotland. Threadless flew him to Las Vegas to check out CES and to see his design, which we made into an exclusive iPhone 3G/3GS case.

If you were at CES and visited our booth there’s a good chance you left with one of the cases. If you didn’t now is your chance to win one.

Leave a comment and enter to win!

Tell us what your favorite innovation was for the last decade. You’ll be automatically entered to win one of ten remaining Innovation Revolution cases. After that they will be gone.

10 winners will be randomly selected on Friday, January 29th at 4pm Central Time.

Good luck!

Now check out this interview I did with the Fleck, right in the back of Double Nickels

  • http://twitter.com/anaria Christina

I’m going to be totally unoriginal and say the iPhone/iTouch because it is just pretty amazing. I’m constantly on mine, mainly for the app to Twitter. Honorable Mentions would be SiriusXM satellite radio and Netflix

  • Megan Campbell

I know this is totally cliche, but my favorite is the IPhone. I just got mine a month and a half ago, and it may be unhealthy to love a phone as much as I love mine, haha! 😀

  • Brian W

    Awesome looking cases

  • mercedesmillberry

My favorite innovation was TiVo. Changed my life. Maybe not for the better, but it sure seems like it!

  • Jim Malie

I was going to say the iPhone, but I feel that the Xbox Live service (not just the 360) has been the greatest thing. I can play with friends all over the globe.

  • Steve D.

Social media websites have really changed the way I keep in touch with far away friends in a great way.

    Me too!

I think online education was one of the biggest innovations that really took off in the last 10 years. It did originate in the mid 90s, but more universities really started incorporating it after 2000. As an online student myself, I really understand a lot of the benefits, like being able to make your own schedule, cheaper living costs, and being able to go to school anywhere in the world from your own home. I have students from Japan, Spain, and all over the US in some of my classes.

“According to the survey Online Nation: Five Years of Growth in Online Learning that was conducted in 2006, 3.5 million students were taking at least one online course.”

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=632150812 facebook-632150812

My favorite innovation would have to be hybrid cars. It is so worth it to have one of these because I can travel back and forth from home to school to work and back and throughout the 70+ miles I drive every day, I don't use up more than two gallons of gas. It's lovely. =)

  • http://twitter.com/meatysaurus meatysaurus

Will there be iPhone 2G cases too, perhaps at a slight premium to adjust for lower demand?

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

Sorry, we only design case for current models of devices. There's
simply not enough demand for previous versions.

    Thanks,
    Dave

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

Posh? Posh Spice? Best innovation? Hmmm….

  • http://twitter.com/drnkhan Nadeem Khan

I think social media (e.g facebook/twitter) was the best innovation of the last decade. I mean talk about bringing people closer, getting the word around faster, staying in touch with people/products/celebrities you love.

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

Sure beats the days of one to one, single node, BBS'ing.
I think I'm dating myself here – LOL!

  • Adrian Cobb

I'm gonna have to go with the iPod. It was a game changer.

  • http://twitter.com/Antipimp The Anti Pimp

jeez..what a tough question! I'd have to say wireless technology.

  • http://twitter.com/BenEsquire Benjamin Francis

I feel the best innovation of the last decade (at least, for the internet) was Google search.

  • danielelongo

Twitter. This is I found out about Threadless and this contest.

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

    Ha! Great choice!

  • http://twitter.com/dawn_armfield dawn m. armfield

It's a toss up for me. I'm going to go with cloud computing and the Android OS. They go hand-in-hand and really focus on more of the open source concepts than many other innovations.

  • http://hejg.se Gustav H

The iPhone is my favorite innovation from the last decade. (And, as someone else said, Twitter and Jaiku.)

  • rjhernandez

It has to be “distraction” phones… I mean Smart Phones and the apps that we love

  • Anonymous

Case looks awesome! love that threadless branching out to other things

  • http://twitter.com/mama_jugs mama_jugs

ok the iphone may be great, but you can't say its better than a snuggie…!

  • sassybrass

    I'm going with iphone.

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

Very good point. Snuggies sure made our trip to Vegas better!

  • itsbridj

i do love MobileMe…keeps everything backed up just in case me and my house are horribly crushed from above somehow.

  • http://twitter.com/MCoddaire Marina Coddaire

One of the top innovations of the past decade is the introduction of hybrid cars; reducing not only the green leaving the drivers wallet but the harmful emissions leaking/spewing/erupting from other models.

  • http://twitter.com/wwjd3 Reuben Urias

I would say the greatest innovation was the development of larger capacity flash storage! It's made it possible for sleek looking smartphones to exist and more portable laptops (not the only reason)! Can't wait for more innovation on this front!

  • stephencapps

    The @-reply.
Twitter popularized it, and Twitter took over the world; now sites like Facebook have adopted it. Who doesn't love getting an @-greeting, even in real life?!

  • dnewayz

I'm going to be really original here and say the iPhone…

  • dolls123

    GPS

  • Jeremy C

I am certainly no Apple fanboy, but I would have to say the iPhone. It’s the only Apple product I own.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=934443 facebook-934443

Biodegradable and compostable plastics including forks & knives, tupperware etc.

  • http://AndyAffleck.com/ Andy Affleck

Favorite innovation? The iPhone for how it has freed us to get information and participate in the larger world from anywhere.

  • kvn

3G in north america and the iphone of course!

  • http://www.facebook.com/tariqi Tariq Ismael

As cliché as it sounds, my favorite inovation of the past decade is the iPhone =]

  • Anonymous

That looks so cool! I love Threadless and Griffin!

  • Heather G

My favorite innovation of the decade was Wikipedia. Saved my butt on my EE Senior Design project, believe it or not.

My iPhone has a sucky, bland case. I'd love to have this fancy one!

  • D Hall

My favourite innovation from the last decade was Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” :-)

    iPhone any day :)

  • Naweed

    iPhone any day :)

  • jessyly

I'd have to say the rise of Apple, since that encompasses the invention of the iPod, the iPhone and the virus-resistant personal computer. They have taken innovative technology and made it intuitive and, even more importantly, convenient.

  • http://aubreymakesthings.blogspot.com/ aubrey

ipod…sorry for the lack of creativity, haha :)

  • http://twitter.com/evico evico

I stopped by but didn't know they had cases :(

  • http://twitter.com/jalijan Zalizan

My fav innovation is World Wide Web and Internet tech. Without it, i think we all cannot be here. Or,maybe right now i sending a sms to join this contest. Hahahaha.

  • brianbobcat

Ok, I'll bite, why are they called Threadless besides not being made out of a fabric? Any reason?

    -Brian

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

Threadless held the competition and flew the winner, David Fleck, from
Edinburgh, Scotland to Vegas for CES.

A single innovation of the past decade? Too hard – iPhone, Xbox/Xbox Live, TiVo/DVRs, Hulu, Netflix streaming, social media – this past decade has just been chock full of things that have changed our lives.

  • Alex

Dubai, all of it, anything there and more. The Indoor Ski Resort, the new Tallest Building in the world, and much more.

  • zoe_t

Has to be the iPhone, don't go anywhere without mine.

  • Justin R.

The iPod. Look where we are now.

  • Jenna Boucher

I think it has to be social networking, look how huge it has blown up! If not the iPhone!

  • http://twitter.com/resistealeau Sarah Long

    wii!

  • http://twitter.com/mcleanrs Ryan McLean

I love my iPhone too, but just to be different, and to appreciate something small instead of something sweeping, I'm going to say my favourite innovation of the last decade was backlit keyboards. You likely don't realize how much you use it until you need to go without it.

  • Anonymous

My fav innovation has to be Google Search engine (I use it almost everyday and how I found this site) but it may have been invited a little over a decade though it didn’t become popular till later.

So I would have to say the iphone.

Are winning this contest the only way to get this case, not available in the store?!

  • http://rhymeswithchaos.com/ Jesse

My favorite innovation from the past decade is the rise of the internet everywhere. Some of my friends would say that's the worst; my constant connectivity drives them crazy sometimes.

  • http://www.prettygirlsuseknives.com/ Johanna

GPS, for sure. I am much better at pretending that i know where I'm going now.

  • ecoeric

    TiVo!

  • Jacqueline

    the ipod

  • ademlowell

its a close tie between iPhone and Blu-ray.
totally different things but i probably couldn't enjoy life half as much as i do now without them

  • Crystal Warren

My favorite is the laptop computer!

  • Thomas V

Smartphones were my favorite innovation! Like the iPhone

  • Kim Murat

Does any one else remember 10 years ago when big screen tvs took up half your living room and could kill your grandma if it tipped over on her? I say wall mounted flat screen LCD/plasma tvs…..and of course Iphones….

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kevin-Eldridge/1140383297 Kevin Eldridge

While I do not have an iPhone, my Mom does and I will try to win this for her as a gift. That is a very nice design.

  • NicoleScrib

Ooh, my favorite innovation is probably…the gameboy advance. Not because it's particularly advanced, but because of all the great memories I've had of it. I played that thing a ton when I was younger.
Of course, the iPhone sure is useful too. So useful.

  • jst4tim

It would have to be the DVR nothing calms my two year old triplets down like flipping on there favorite show anytime I need to.

  • Brett

That's so hard! I think for me it has been the proliferation of high-speed/broadband Internet. It has really made so many of the other innovations possible.

My favorite innovation is the iPhone – I feel that it combined so many elements and transformed the phone as we know it. I saw this design from #CES and had to ask about it. Being an artist, I find it utterly gorgeous. Words can't explain how I love it. Thanks for the great contest! Threadless rocks too!

  • murphykatt

love the iPhone and iPod touch!

  • erosennin69

Favorite innovation of the decade, hey ? Apart from HD Porn :-) I would say WiFi. I don't know how I could watch in my office my favorite show 'How I Bet your Mother (during CES)' without it…

  • http://twitter.com/whooooraya Soraya Silverman

I would have to agree with most everyone that the iPhone rocks my socks. =)

My favorite innovation of the last decade is Google Wave. I makes collaborating with multiple people in real-time so easy. Thanks Google!

  • http://twitter.com/robynbynn Robyn L

Actually to be honest, my favourite would be either the iPhone 3gs, which I live by, or the invention of P2P sharing. Information (and other stuff :P) sharing for the win! (: Where would we be without torrents. and the iphone (:

  • Bmack037

The evolution of the Smartphone from the PDA/organizer.

  • lauragreen

Love the new threadless cases, you've got to have more options for postage to Australia, the postage is twice the cost of the phone, just not worth it right now. I'm sure you'd get alot more orders if you looked at this.

  • http://twitter.com/robynbynn Robyn L

Has to be the iPhone. Or more precisely, the iPhone 3gs. I live by it. Is that wrong? ):

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

We've run into this before. Your best bet is to contact our support

    iPhone!!

Surely iPod series are the best innovation in the world. They really reduce the boringness of the routine tasks we have to do everyday, like travelling in buses or train. iPods ARE GREAT 😀

  • Anonymous

In the UK, I think it’s probably the BSkyB +HD box – wonderful picture to watch tv on nowadays (especially with a 37″ LCD tv). TiVo doesn’t seem to be available but this box does everything that does. I don’t know if the TiVo can tape 2 channels at once AND allow you watch something you’ve recorded but this box can, which makes it pretty awesome in my opinion. Otherwise, the iPhone it’s my favourite, no problem.

  • http://twitter.com/Bookgoddessno1 Adrianna Colwell

The iPhone is the best. It has by far been my best purchase as I use it constantly.

  • davedillbeck

Mighty Putty…and I guess the iPhone too.

Definately the i-phone.. some of the other inventions listed I need to obtain before the next decade is over. lol

the iphone is one heck of a innovated product!

  • http://isingers.info/ Matias Singers

The iPhone is probably the on – or maybe one of the Apple laptops(PowerBook/iBook).

  • Anonymous

The best innovation of the last decade?! Eesh. Of all the things, I would probably have to go with the Hybrid Car. I really think it was the first large scale, corporate move to create a marketable product that was also environmentally conscious. I’m sure the development took years (if not a decade within itself) and the complexities of an “electric engine” are something I can’t even begin to understand! :-p

  • Jen

I'd want to join in and say the iphone but check out this NYTimes article: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/17/technology/17

People are so immersed in cell phones and apps that it's not just driving that's hazardous, it's walking. Crazy times we live in.

  • JackieRoot

Definitely the iPhone… and even though I don’t own one I’d say e-readers

  • http://twitter.com/ErinTtweeting Erin Tierney

Social networking tools have definately shaped the decade, from Twitter to Flickr and in between it has been easier to get in touch with those around you sans physical contact or even report on the news that is happening at that moment, accessible through smartphones such as the iphone… (I’m desperate for an innovative and awesome case!!)

  • http://www.ram8727.com/ Alex Malone

iPhone for sure is the greatest innovation!

  • http://www.facebook.com/obamanizer Jason Tsay

the ipod is it ….but engadget has a list of the top 10 that i also agree with

  • KriZia

TiVo for me. It has changed my television-viewing process permanently.

  • Mike

    Innovation? iPhone.

  • http://www.rokemedia.com/ Mike Schreurs

My favorite innovation this decade has to be tapeless recording on prosumer video camera. This has helped my workflow sooooo much. No more blasted capturing real time, just drag and drop.

Whoa, I thought just to enter but that design really is badass. I love the detail on it, if I had that iPhone, I don’t know if I would use it since it is limited. I love underground designers.

  • http://www.youtube.com/chez101 chez101

My favorite innovation of the last decade is definitely Twitter. Not only for connecting with friends, but news travel will forever be changed.

  • http://twitter.com/jkprogrammer jasleen kaur

well i love all the great innovations like xbox, online education, twitter but best for me though common is smartphone . i just love these a lot.

Wow, this is tough. iPod, YouTube, hulu.

Guess I have to go with the iPod. I don’t have one, never had, but I have a Sansa and it is amazing. And all the tech that came from iPod, iPhone, iTouch, iWhateverNewThingAppleIsReleasingJanuary272010.

iPods & the iPhone! Anything by Apple, actually. :))

  • http://www.yeraze.com Yeraze

I would have to say Web Applications… Meebo, GMail, GCalendar, Twitter, etc. Turning what was previously a passive “Reading” tool into a fascinating interactive application, that is quickly overwhelming other applications, now that’s innovative.

  • http://twitter.com/techinlaw Tech In-Law

Favorite innovation of last 10 years is definitely tivo. Gamechanger!

  • http://twitter.com/dylanpine dylan pine

    The iPhone – definitely.

  • http://www.youtube.com/ashley3g Ashley3G

My favorite innovation of this decade would, hands down, be Apple's iPod. Carrying as many songs in my pocket as I do should be impossible..and it was before this decade. The iPod also paved the way for my favorite gadget of the moment: my iPhone 3G S.

  • http://geekswithblogs.net/ntpro Chris Haaker

    iPhone hands down.

Favorite innovation for the last decade. Must be the iPhone: the internet wherever you are, whatever you do. Be there for everyone that needs to get in touch with you. Communicate with the world. If you want to.

I know it's cliche, but my favorite innovation has to be the iPhone.

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/KTNVMNCXNVNMZFAE2CENHF5C2A Mariana

    For me the smartphones!

  • Anonymous

Well I huess I would say my most favorite innovatio was the iPhone. It’s what got me started in Youtube!

  • SaimIAm

Omg I know i knwo this is what everyone says but iphone because its what got me started

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/OKNKGOUVRBKBWCBLC3B332LXBM Alfie

Best innovation of the last decade. I would go with the “ecosystem” Apple has created (iTunes, iTunes Store, Appstore, iDevices)

  • absolut

I'm going to have to agree with a lot of posters above me – my favourite innovation is definitely the iPhone.

  • Brian Villareal

    The iPhone!

  • jamesl23

    iphone

As we're talking 'favourite' innovation and not the 'the best' innovation – I'm going to throw in something that made me smile last year – http://www.wired.com/autopia/2009/08/horse-power/

  • Maria Villareal

    Definitely TiVo

  • Eric Villareal

    Facebook haha

  • Jessica Villareal

Twitter is my favorite innovation from the last decade

  • Caitlin Villareal

    Apple MacBook hands down

    Xbox360. No contest.

I want the case please! Pick me!

  • madisonborth

I think DVR has changed lives. It's fantastic.

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

It's random, but you never know…
    Good luck.

  • MetalPinata

I think the best innovation of the decade was probably the better utilization of the individual to tell the stories going on around them. Wikipedia made a real-time updating encyclopedia that through age, has become a great resource (although some professors still won't admit it). Then you have Youtube which launched a gallery for all sorts of user created content (music videos, viral marketing, recording/reporting news stories as they unfold). Within the last decade I would have to say that is the biggest innovation because it really in some ways made the world a little smaller and the stories you read/watch a little bit more personable.

  • Justin Yu

I love my Ipod Touch, it's really useful for daily things + cheaper for those who can't afford iPhones haha.

  • MF

Has to be the iPhone. I think it says it all when the least used feature about it- is the phone! GPS navigation, near me location finding, apps to get me via car, train or plane on time- superb! All that and i can listen to music, watch a film, read my mail?

  • http://twitter.com/JoshApos Josh Apostolopoulos

Digital media as a whole and the accessibility for sharing it that wasn't seen much before this decade.

  • Ellen

The DVR/Tivo has changed my life!

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

    Great comment! Thanks.

  • David

Absolutely love the design of the case.

  • http://www.griffintechnology.com/connect Dave Delaney

Thanks David. Me too. I'm wearing one now.

  • http://www.hiredgunscreative.com/ Leif Miltenberger

The iPhone, social media/networking websites such as Facebook, and web-apps in general.

  • reva skie

Gotta go with TiVo, seriously changed television.

  • shawnlane

Certainly TIVO for me. It has changed the way I watch television. A close second is the iPod.

  • http://twitter.com/mschuermann Michael Schuermann

Innovation has gotta be the iPhone. Apple's revisiting of what is a computer and what it can do was the big story of the end of the decade, and looks to be the big story of this decade (most likely) as well!

  • http://twitter.com/btiede Brian Tiede

I would have to say the iPhone, but the TiVo did bring the DVR to the mainstream, I don't think I've watched live TV in years.

  • http://twitter.com/Alexandr3 Alexandre Vallières

As un-original as it can be, it's the iPhone for me. After so many Nokia and LG phones, I just can't understand how I could use such dull phones before my iPhone! This also merged my Mp3 player with a good video player and a phone in one device! All I need now is just my iPhone and I'm set!

  • drnelk

If you mean any innovation, it would have to be something in health, like targeted (chemo) therapies. If in personal tech, then the mobile web!

  • steventrotter

Mine is easily the iPhone. Close second would be netbooks. I cannot be separated from either. EVER.

  • SaimIAm

ok other than the touch I would go for the PS3

  • http://twitter.com/alexcwilliams Alex Williams

    Red Bull…and then the iPod.

  • nununyc

It's got to be the iPhone. It's the 1-stop shop for keeping in touch with friends, finding directions, checking movie times, streaming music on roadtrips, and for this long debates when the iPhone comes in handy to do a fact check. The iPhone has truly pioneered bringing the digital age to your fingertips

Please bestow one of these masterpieces on my poor son who can’t seem to find a 3GS case ANYWHERE! He’ll be so proud!

  • http://twitter.com/tiedyedclaire Claire Dossin

I’d have to agree with a lot of other people in saying that the iPhone (and iPad too!) was definitely the best innovation of the last century. Even Droid who tries to top the iPhone hasn’t been successful yet! 😀

  • Colleen Watts

My favorite innovation for the last decade was thee apple iphone.

    • http://blog.griffintechnology.com/about-dave Dave Delaney

      Me too!

    Must be the iPhone!

  • 97jjay

    this ia awsome

  • Dahn626

Most innovative thing has to be text messaging. An unintrusive means of communication.

  • http://wesleyk.me Wesley K.

Very nice. As always griffin makes excellent products for the iPhone.

Very unique and stands out from the rest, nice job!

  • Scott Mahan

I would have to go with the MP3 Player (which led to the iPhone).

  • Crothluebber

     That is awesome!

  • Anonymous

last 10 years of Apple! thanx for keepin them covered!

  • Don

The iphone is obvious but I’ve got one that’s not so much, my favorite innovation of the past 10 years, 3D printing. That has some fantastic potential to change everyday living. Just download the latest case design and print it at home. That’s cool. Possibilities are almost limitless.

  • Acoustic Randall

i’d like a case neato made from recycled LPs
