I’m constantly receiving suspicious direct messages (DMs). You should never click links that seem strange, you should also never give anyone your cell number.

That all said. If you do click a link, because you simply can’t resist, watch out for this!

*** Always look at the URL on the page you’re sent to. ***

This is not Twitter.com that you would be logging in to. Those that fall for this give their username and passwords away. So if you receive strange DMs from people you actually know, this is likely how it’s happened.

This type of phishing scam happens in many different ways such as banking, Ebay and PayPal. Be careful what you click and always look at that domain, if it’s not www.twitter.com it’s not legitimate.

The other trick is to login to Twitter and click Settings and Connections. Have a look at what applications you’ve given third parties permission to. If there’s something there suspicious or that you’re simply not using click Revoke Access.

By following these tips you’ll help reduce the amount of spam and scams on Twitter. Here’s a great resource for other ways to be sure you’re secure.

Threadless is not your average tee shirt company. The designs are sourced from an ongoing open-call for tee shirt submissions from a worldwide community of amazing artists and designers. The Threadless community of over 1 million members casts votes that help decide which designs become tee shirts.

We’re thrilled to be partnering with Threadless and producing two from a selection of their most popular designs, Clouds within the Thunder and Birds of a Feather. The 1mm (not-so) thick, single-piece polycarbonate shell snaps on to provide protection from scratches, dust and boringness for your iPhone 3G and 3GS.

Kudos to Ross Zietz and Joe Van Wetering for their most amazing designs!

Like their corresponding tee shirts, these cases will only be available while quantities last. Our guess is that they will be gone before you can say “awesome”. Go grab one now. There’s no need to worry, however, as more Griffin+Threadless cases are on their way. This is only the beginning.

It’s going to be great to be back in Vegas for the nation’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, January 7 – 10.

The one thing is that the flight from Nashville, TN to Las Vegas, NV is about three long hours. I don’t know about you, but being crammed in a plane for three hours with weak coffee and no leg room doesn’t sound like much fun. So we came up with an alternative plan, and we’re calling it CES BOUND.

We buy a bus, fix it up and do a road trip to Vegas! Why be crammed in a plane for three hours, when we can be crammed in a bus for 120 hours (give or take)? Surely we’ll find better coffee on the road than at 30,000 feet in the air, right? Besides, how can we ask a pilot to land in several cities to meet with you?

What could possibly go wrong for five Griffin peeps traveling in a 37 year old VW Westfalia bus across 2,476 miles?

Have you ever done a long road trip? Where to? Do you have any tips?

If you have spent any time around Boy Scouts you’ll be familiar with the pinewood derby. According to Wikipedia:

Cubmaster Don Murphy organized the first pinewood derby, held on May 15, 1953 in Manhattan Beach, California by Pack 280c. Murphy’s son was too young to participate in the popular Soap Box Derby races, so he came up with the idea of racing miniature wood cars. The cars had the same gravity-powered concept as the full-size Soap Box Derby cars, but were much smaller and easier to build. After Don Murphy’s first race in 1953 the Los Angeles County Department of Recreation copied the pinewood derby with Murphy’s permission.

Our friends at Imogene + Willie have invited us to the first annual 12th South Pinewood Derby next Saturday, November 21st!

Watch for the Griffin car, it’s going to rock your socks off. We already have some great ideas on how to customize our vehicle.

If you’re in Nashville and you love the smell of pine in the morning (or at 4pm), you won’t want to miss this amazing opportunity to get together and race some wood! Not to mention you’ll be getting BBQ, beer, whisky, a t-shirt and Griffin goodies!

You can pick up your car kit at Imogene + Willie for $50.00. Don’t be shy, it’s not hard to create a great pinewood ride. Did I mention the winner wins a $500 GriffinTechnology.com shopping spree?

Sandy Chilewich, the entrepreneurial and artistic spirit behind HUE, the hosiery firm she co-founded in 1978 and sold in 1991, opened her namesake New York-based studio/textiles laboratory in 1997. She introduced her next design-quake with RayBowl™ in 1997. In 2000 Chilewich introduced mats for the tabletop and the floor and bags for all sorts of uses – the first of her durable, easy-to-clean, woven vinyl designs in an assortment of colors and textures. That initial, wildly successful launch spawned an expanding range of products for an ever-greater variety of applications; today the washable vinyl textiles include those made of spun, tufted, and pressed vinyl.

We love you for your enthusiasm and interest in Griffin. Due to the overwhelming number of requests we’ve decided to take a new approach to how we handle these requests.

YouTube friends who have already reviewed our products will be familiar with the application form we created for you. We’ve revised the application to include YouTube, bloggers and podcasters. If you wish to receive products for review we request that you fill out the new form each month, duplicates will be removed, so please only apply once.

On the last Friday of each month we will randomly select 10 reviewers for that month. We’ll announce the reviewers here on our blog.

We have also created our Reviewer Policy which is a page outlining our relationship with reviewers. All reviewers must include the link: http://bit.ly/griffinreview in their reviews. Thanks.

To apply please fill out the new form. Good luck.
