Enter to win tickets to Music City Roots!

We love Nashville! We love everything about this town. One thing we’re crazy about is the music, it’s why Nashville is known as “Music City”.

The Lovin’ Spoonful wrote these lyrics in the song “Nashville Cats” that sums it up.

Well, there’s thirteen hundred and fifty two
Guitar pickers in Nashville
And they can pick more notes than the number of ants
On a Tennessee anthill

It’s true too. Many of us at Griffin are also gifted musicians and song writers. I would wager that every single person here has friends who are also musicians.

Music City Roots

It’s because of our passion for music that we are so happy to announce our sponsorship of Music City Roots. A weekly concert and live radio show recorded at the Loveless Cafe Barn. The Loveless is home of the best biscuits in the world – seriously. You probably saw Michael chowing down on a few in this video.

We’re planning to give away tickets to each Music City Roots show. If you live in Nashville or if you’re visiting, you won’t want to miss this great opportunity!

Did you hear the news? iPhone 4 launched last week. Just kidding, of course you heard the news!

We loved this video from CNET UK by Luke Westaway (take note of the Chilewich Gravel case in the AirCurve at 4:10! w00t!).

We also made our own video from the Apple Store in Nashville

We announced a little giveaway for one lucky winner to win a $500 Apple Store gift card. Today is the day that we randomly select the winner.

Watch the video to the end to see if you won. CONGRATS!

I can’t name a single person at Griffin who doesn’t enjoy a good film from time to time. In fact, a few of my co-workers are complete film geeks. That’s why we’re so happy to be included as a sponsor for this year’s Nashville Film Festival.

Nashville Film Festival is a cultural arts institution that inspires, educates, and entertains through an annual celebration of the art of motion pictures, year-round events, and community outreach. Founded in 1969, a milestone reached by only three other film festivals in the country, by Mary Jane Coleman as the Sinking Creek Film Celebration, Nashville Film Festival (NaFF) is hosted at the Regal Green Hills Stadium 16 in Nashville, Tennessee. Since 2004, the festival has doubled attendance to 23,000 – screening more than 250 films from 48 nations around the globe. 2010 will mark the 41st year for the Nashville Film Festival. – www.nashvillefilmfestival.org

Here’s a sneak peak of the loop video we’ve created that you’ll see in the lobby of the Green Hills Cinema if you’re attending.

What’s your favorite quote from the movies?
