We have had a blast working with our friends at Crayola over the last year. As you know, ColorStudio HDTrace & Draw and Paint & Create have received high praise from parents and kids alike.

It’s no wonder why we have combined our efforts with Crayola yet again to develop some truly fun products and apps for 2012.

Crayola MyPhones

Crayola MyPhones headphones for kidsAvailable in two styles: earbuds and headphones. Crayola MyPhones have built-in volume-limiting circuitry that keeps the sound pressure down to levels recommended safe for young ears.

Crayola MyPhones Earbuds come in a range of bright colors all bearing Crayola’s iconic design. Each set of earbuds comes with its own carrying case shaped like a Crayola crayon, that opens to reveal the earbuds and 3 sizes of soft silicone ear cushions, sized just right to fit kids’ ears. Crayola MyPhones Earbuds will be available this spring in purple pizazz, cotton candy, caribbean green and blue berry for $14.99.

Kid-friendly and durable, Crayola MyPhones Headphones are designed to fit over the ears, so nothing enters the ear canal. Each set of headphones comes with stickers and Crayola markers so children can customize their phones and make them unique and personalized. Crayola MyPhones Headphones will be available this spring in two color combinations, pink/purple and blue/green, for $24.99.

Coloring apps for young artists

Crayola Lights, Camera, Color! HD turns photos taken on an iOS device into personalized digital coloring pages starring your young artist. Snap a photo or grab one you’ve already taken, and Lights, Camera, Color! HD drains the color from the picture and morphs into a coloring page. Decorate the personalized coloring page digitally with stickers, simulated strokes of Crayola crayons, colored pencils and markers.

Crayola Silly Face Swaps HD by Griffin TechnologyChildren can put their face to a coloring page with Crayola Silly Face Swaps HD. Each coloring page character has a cut-out where they can place a photo of their face, a friend’s face, or even a pet’s. Young artists can further personalize their coloring page by coloring it in with digital Crayola coloring tools including crayons, colored pencils and markers.

All artwork from Crayola Lights, Camera, Color! HD and Crayola Silly Face Swaps HD can be saved to a gallery, e-mailed, uploaded to Facebook, or printed out. Crayola Lights, Camera, Color! HD is now available on the iTunes App Store for $1.99. A free lite version is available, as well. Look for Crayola Silly Face Swaps in the iTunes App Store this Spring.

Make your own case!

Crayola Case Creator is a unique combination of protective case and app to give you everything needed to create a one-of-a-kind case for iPhone or iPod touch. Let your imagination soar in the free Case Creator app by decorating a photo with digital stickers, or free-draw in Doodle mode using built-in crayons, paints and pens. Once you’re done, print your creation on the included case inserts. They’re perfectly sized to slide into the clear plastic shell to protect your artwork and iOS device. Crayola Case Creator app and case with inserts will be available for $29.99 this Spring.

The line also includes two additional ways to showcase your colorful creations and protect your iPod touch at the same time with new Crayola cases: Color Clickers and Crayon Classics.

Crayola Color Clickers, $24.99, gives you 28 interchangeable color stripes that snap onto a polycarbonate shell to create new color combinations every day.

The Crayola Crayon Classics cases for iPod touch look just like the familiar, beloved Crayola crayon wrapper, and protect your iPod touch in a variety of colors: – purple pizzazz, cotton candy, caribbean green, and blue berry, priced at just $24.99.

Mar 19, 2010 What’s in your ears?

Broken Social Scene Feel Good LostAt Griffin H.Q. our marketing department can often be found hard at work with our TuneBuds plugged into our ears. One of us even uses our kid-friendly MyPhones, she is of legal age of employment. :)

Christopher S. Penn wrote a great blog post a couple of weeks ago about the music he listens to to keep productive while he works. He inspired me to share one of my favorites with you.

I tend to listen to mellow instrumental music, I find that’s the best way to concentrate. My favorite album for this is Broken Social Scene‘s Feel Good Lost.

What do you listen to to help boost your productivity without distracting you from the task at hand?

We’ve been getting great feedback from you on our kid-friendly, volume-limiting headphones for kids, MyPhones. Here’s a few examples:

Road tested on my 12yr old daughter, a victim to fashion as all youngsters seem to be these days, she was instantly taken with them and has been using them almost constantly since they arrived. Despite knowing these have a safety design she thought them very trendy and seems happy to be seen using them, indeed a demo at school had her friends clamouring for a pair. So we can safely call them an instant hit. - wired4iphone.com

MyPhones give parents confidence that their children are enjoying audio safely and responsibly. Nikki Moore of Girl Geek Chic.

Really nice idea, really well executed.Dan Sung of Pocket-lint.com. Dan was even kind enough to include a very cute picture of his daughter sporting MyPhones.

Speaking of cute kids using MyPhones, our friend Carrie at Bilingualintheboonies.com who helped inspire the product, wrote a great post and shared a video of her daughter singing along with her MyPhones. Carrie wrote:

So, Maria got to try out her new headphones during our Thanksgiving week flight. She loved them. I loved them. Because they limit the sound to a safe 85 decibles, I didn’t have to worry — or argue with her — about the noise level. They fit her head, unlike the cheap, adult ones we have used — the same ones Web saw — which slip off her ears and make it tough for her to wear them comfortably.

Have you checked out MyPhones yet? They make the perfect gift for your young loved ones, and they are available now at your local Apple Store and Target.
