Griffin's DriveSafe appWe’re excited to announce our new free app, DriveSafe!

The DriveSafe app combines handy enhanced map services and quick access to the laws governing handsfree phone and texting use in your area to help keep you informed and compliant with local laws.

Features include:

  • Map Services: Find nearby roadside services, restaurant, gas station or medical facilities based on your location.
  • Driving Laws: Drive in compliance with the law. DriveSafe provides summaries of laws governing handsfree calling and texting in your area.
  • Solutions Finder: Find the best Griffin solutions based on your vehicle and your needs for decreasing the distractions that can be caused by smartphones and other in-car electronics.

DriveSafe won’t make you a better driver. Only you can do that. But being aware of your surroundings and the laws governing your locale can help you make the decisions you need to drive more safely.

Our new app perfectly compliments our lineup of DriveSafe products: RoadTrip HandsFree, iTrip Auto HandsFree, WindowSeat Mobile HandsFree Car Kit, WindowSeat HandsFree, DirectDeck HandsFree, BlueTrip Aux, HandsFree Mic + AUX Cable, and TuneFlex Aux HandsFree.

Yesterday a friend of mine was scrolling through my iPhone. He gasped when he noticed how many applications that I have installed.

I have 7 pages filled with 16 apps per page. That’s 112 apps! I’ve become so use to seeing them there everyday, that I’ve never realized how many were installed.

I asked the question on Twitter, and it turns out most people are like me. They are iPhone-App-Aholics :-) I guess this explains how over a billion applications have already been downloaded.

How many do you have?
